iPhone Tip: Update all apps with one touch
Several readers have mentioned that updating multiple apps on the iPhone is tedious because updating the first app you’re taken to the Home page where you can see the app downloading, after which you have to return to Updates, tap the next app, tap Update again, and so on.
That does sound tedious.
Fortunately there’s a better way to update all apps at once, though it is surprisingly easy to miss:
Tap Update All on the Updates page.
This is a feature that was broken in v2.1 and they FINALLY brought it back in v2.2. Thanks apple for bringing it back!
Updating multiple apps under 2.0.x was horrendous, and therefore they removed it from 2.1 until they could fix it. I am glad it made a return, and I fully understand why it had to be removed for the time being.
With downloads being much faster, and the icons no longer taking up a new spot during the upgrade, this all worked out rather well…
